When I first started doing photography, I was very anti wedding. There was something about them that made me fear for my life! I laugh at this now because this year I’ve learned how much I really love photographing weddings. There’s so much love in the air and the bride and groom spend so much time carefully planning all the details. This was especially true for Abbey and Cody’s wedding!
Their wedding day was truly Breathtaking. The bridal party colors were Turquoise and Yellow, and there were accents of burlap brown everywhere we turned. The gorgeous burlap aisle runner during the ceremony read, “See. He’s Her Lobster,” and the cake was topped with two lobsters! Abbey and Cody are huge fans of Friends, which is were the Lobster reference originated!
The bride’s dress was seriously gorgeous, and I’m not just saying that! Abbey shared with me her story on picking the perfect dress, “The second dress I tried on felt “right”. After finding out it was the last one they had in stock, in MY size, and on sale, I knew it was meant to be!”
We had a lot of fun with these wedding photos. They decided to not see each other until Abbey was walking down the aisle. The emotion I captured in Cody’s face was truly priceless!
The wedding and reception were held at Camp Rotamer, and was catered Knutes Bar & Grill. My favorite part of the wedding had to have been when they had their first dance, to the song Gone, Gone, Gone by Phil Phillips. The two of them sang to each other the entire time, and the love between them shined bright!! Their DJ, DJ Fritzy, did a great job during the reception keeping the dance floor full the entire night!
“Ashlee was amazing! So patient, helpful, and creative!! She kept me calm before the ceremony, and did a wonderful job organizing (and putting up with) our families!” Says Abbey.
Abbey and Cody were such a delight to work with and I wish them many wonderful years to come.
