WHAT IS BOUDOIR?
Boudoir photography is a type of intimate photography that captures the beauty and sensuality of a person in a private setting. IS A BOUDOIR SESSION FOR ME?
Simply put, YES! One of the amazing things about boudoir photography is that it can be tailored to fit your personality and style. You can choose the setting, the outfit, and the poses that make you feel most comfortable and confident. Some people choose to wear lingerie or sexy clothing, while others opt for a more natural and relaxed look. The key is to choose what feels most authentic to you. So, whether you’re looking to celebrate a milestone, embrace your sensuality, or simply boost your self-confidence, boudoir photography is a wonderful way to do it. It’s a celebration of your unique beauty and a reminder that you are worthy of love and acceptance just as you are.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Our boudoir sessions are held in our gorgeous natural light studio in Milton, Wisconsin. From time to time, we also hold outdoor boudoir sessions and private locations! What about travel?? I will travel to limited locations. You will be required to cover all travel costs, rental cars and airbnb accommodations if you'd like to me to come to your city! Grab some girlfriends and split the cost! I recommend 5-6 girls to make it a weekend of fun!
WHAT IS MY SESSION FEE AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?
In order to book with us, we do require you pay a $450 non-refundable retainer. This books you into our studio for two hours! Each session includes professional hair and make-up (lash application included). It also includes 3-4 outfit changes and use of our client closet. Finally, I will guide you through your session and pose you in the most flattering manner! No products (physical or digital) are included in your session fee. Our collection prices begin at $1900.
ABOUT THAT HAIR & MAKE-UP....
We have a couple of amazing hair & make-up artists that work with us for all of our sessions. They come into the studio to glam you up for the day, and will do just about any look you ask for, in a way that looks amazing on camera! Hair & make-up is included in your session fee.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?
If you are having your photos taken for something like a wedding gift, we highly recommend scheduling your session at least 8-12 weeks before the date it needs to be given. With that being said, our books are always open 12 months out (this gives you the best pre-session payment plan options too ;) ) Once your session is over, your reveal/ordering appointment will either take place the same day as your session, or within the following three weeks. Please allow up to 4 weeks for product delivery once your order is placed.
CAN I KEEP MY PHOTOS PRIVATE?
Girl, YES! We only share photos with a signed photo release from each client. I promise you can trust that your BOOTY is safe with me ;) You have several choices of how your images are shared, if they are shared at all.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE... DO YOU POSE ME?
Yes babe, that's my job!!! One of the biggest concerns people have with booking a photo shoot is that they don't know how to pose themselves! Don't worry, I got you! I will help you look and feel your best, and will pose you in the most flattering angles for your body type! I will also help with facial expressions, and I will demonstrate every pose before you do them!
BUT WHAT DO I WEAR?
We do not require you to go out and buy a whole new closet full of lingerie, nor do we want you to have to! We have a fully stocked client closet for you to pick from with sizes small-4x. We always suggest bringing at least 1 or 2 pieces from home, but we never want you to wear anything that you aren't comfortable in! While it can be a good excuse to buy some new bras or panties, my favorite way to photograph women is in their favorite everyday outfit. For example, how about your favorite jean jacket with just a bra underneath or an off the shoulder sweater pulled up to reveal lacy undies. Your photos should reflect exactly who you are, and part of who you are is what you like to wear and feel comfortable in. With that being said, you are ALWAYS welcome to go topless or naked too!!!
CAN I BRING A FRIEND WITH ME?
Of course! One friend is always welcome during the hair & make-up process. There are no boys allowed while we are shooting (unless you are booked in for a couples session) and we have a strict no cellphone rule unless they are doing behind the scenes photos for us! Please only bring a friend who will be your BIGGEST cheerleader! We don't want anyone bringing you down that day!
DO YOU RE-TOUCH MY IMAGES?
Yes, I hand edit each image. I remove all blemishes and bruising; our rule of thumb is if it won't be there in two weeks we get rid of it! I also do a light smoothing of your skin, but that is the extent of my editing. We are all about showing the real beauty of woman, and do not want to change who you are. I do not do any body re-shaping in Photoshop. I want each of you to have full confidence in who you are and I want that to be reflected in your images. I am happy to listen to specific requests, so please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
WHAT IS YOUR RESCHEDULE/CANCELLATION POLICY?
We allow one complimentary reschedule, if given at least 14 days notice. I understand that life happens and things come up where you need to move your original date, and thats okay! If you need to reschedule for a second time, you will need to pay another full booking fee to choose a new date. Once booked in, you can refer to your contract regarding this matter.
